FIFA WORLD CUP 2014: Argentina-Bosnia and Herzegovina: Quotes
Argentina coach,Alejandro Sabella:
It was an even game right from its start, though the second half was a bit entertaining. We started to make more chances when Higuain
came forward on and we got the second goal, which helped us settle down. I can’t
really have any complaints about the result. Perhaps we made an error
or two, and I’m sure I got one or two things wrong, but we should
cherish these three points because the Bosnians were no pushovers.
Bosnia and Herzegovina coach,Safet Susic:
"We wanted to give the favourites a fight and I amm satisfied with what we
did. I knew our fans would be cheering us on, but we’ve also had an
amazing welcome from the people of Brazil."
Budweiser Man of the MatchLionel Messi (Argentina):
It’s only normal to feel a little bit anxious and nervous in
the first game. The main thing is just to get the win. We made more
chances in the second half, and though there are some things we need to
work on, what matters are the three points. It was an important goal for
me, but even more importantly it sealed the win for us. We got a
fantastic reception here. I wasn’t expecting there to be so many
Argentinians and it was something we spoke about when we arrived. We’re
off to Belo Horizonte now and I hope we have the same atmosphere there.
